pretty neat. just looking at some off the shelf chinese wifi/bluetooth? instead of hacking a pi or arduino.. Guessing thats being controlled by the same phone you're filming with!
The LEDs are controlled by a proprietary controller. The controller is under the suit in my pocket and I can adjust the pattern, speed and set the sequence length.
The controller also came with a small radio transmitted, which is in my other hand. This has a huge range and doesn't seem to be bothered by clothes, my body, windows or walls.
This video is edited to show several patterns. When scrolling though the patterns, the suit looks a bit wild and messy, so I’ve added an off/on switch to the system, between the lights and the controller so that I can change the pattern (from say 22 to 74) neatly.
I will post all the details within the next month or so, when the suit is finished. Just at the final tidying up stage.

Yeah, was thinking arduinos, saw a post on adafruit about a gugenhat :) . but then saw the off-the-shelf ebay controllers. some of which have phone controllers via wifi and look like you could send you're own control data across. really should do something with the light strip i've already got (not individually addressable) before I get others :)
